5. ALAGBADA INA – Isaac Ojo
As a worshipper, songwriting is not like any regular task. It requires spiritual sensitivity and a heart that is alert to capture the mind of God. Alagbada Ina was received in bits.
On Nov. 20 of 2020, a chord progression was heavy on my heart. I got my phone and forwarded a voice note with just the tonic solfas to Tayo Olawepo [TyKeys].
This enormously talented producer sent me my progression in a refined form. I loved it!
All I wanted to do was to sing God’s praises on that progression. I wanted to call God all the good names that crossed my mind especially thinking about the past and how far God has brought me and my family. On Thurs, Nov. 26, God gave me the chorus. Composition and arrangement were completed in Feb. 2021 and production completed around April /May of 2021.
Honestly, when I think of the goodness of Jesus and all he has done for me, I am just amazed.
Alagbada Ina was conceived at a time I was reminiscing on God’s faithfulness. It is a brief turnaround story of my family.
A family that struggled to have dinner almost every single day. We were so poor that my mum sometimes had to boil water while giving us the impression that she was making dinner. She did this hoping we would sleep off while waiting for the so-called “dinner” to be served. Though, we fell asleep while waiting, this is heartbreaking to my mum but today, our lives have completely changed.
I pray that every parent in this situation will receive strength until their time of a turnaround comes.
Now, our present is completely unrelated to our past. God broke the back of poverty and brought us to a place of envy to many.
I am a firm believer that there is nothing impossible for God to do. He specializes in turning lives around.
It is my prayer that this song will move every listener to look back and intentionally count the blessing of God upon their lives.

8. NEW SONG – Olaitan Ogalar
New Song is an afrobeat gospel song that reminds believers of the promises of God about healing, joy, restoration and peace.
O Sing unto the LORD a new song: Sing unto the LORD, all the earth. Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; Shew forth his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the heathen, His wonders among all people. For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: He is to be feared above all gods.
Psalm 96:1-4 KJV
I pray that everyone that listens to this song will be able to practically sing a new song to usher in a new season in Jesus name. – Olaitan Ogalar
9. BROKEN VESSEL – Glory Chuku-Umunna
Almost everyone has been through an experience that took something away from them, left them wounded, scarred, feeling inadequate, not good enough, or incomplete… left them broken. These may have been the doings of other people or brought upon us by our own mistakes or poor judgements.
Whatever the case, we tend to shrink into our shell, for fear of being criticised and judged by God and man. But like the Kintsugi Japanese pottery, that highlights the cracks and chips of damaged vessels with gold to create an even stronger, more beautiful piece of art, our Father God creates something more unique, beautiful, and resilient through our brokenness.
Broken Vessels is a message of hope, reminding us that it is in our most vulnerable places that the love, restoration, and power of Christ is abundantly available and through it, we become a beacon of light and hope to others. The Father’s Arms are wide open seeking you. God is saying, “come to Me with that brokenness and hurt and I will restore you and make that crack a channel of my glory.”
